Secure Our Border and Rid Our Communities of Illegal Immigrants
Secure the border and remove illegal immigrants from communities.
Occurrences
I am humbly asking for voters in GA-7 to keep me fighting in Congress for smaller government, less regulations, more accountability, stronger borders, safer streets, and the protection of the rights and values we hold dear.
We start with enforcing the laws we have, securing the border.
Evidence
The House passed H.R. 7147, the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2026, and the committee said the package “strengthen[s] America’s military, secure[s] the border” and includes the Homeland Security title.
McCormick’s official issue page says he is working to give law enforcement resources to combat illegal drugs, stop criminal gangs, and end human trafficking, and it lists bills including the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2025, the REMAIN in Mexico Act, and the Laken Riley Act.
Assessments
McCormick has materially supported and advanced federal border-security and immigration-enforcement measures during his current House term, including listed sponsorship or support for immigration bills and House passage of DHS appropriations framed as border-security funding. However, the promise is broad and outcome-based: securing the border and removing illegal immigrants from communities. The evidence shows advocacy and partial legislative progress, not completed delivery of the full promised federal outcome. Because the relevant actions occurred while he is serving the office tied to the 2024 campaign, timing is same_term.
