I intend to continue what I've always done – engaging with our communities directly.
Continue engaging with communities directly.

Evidence
Rep. Tokuda will hold town halls in Wahiawā on Oʻahu and Pāhoa on Hawaiʻi Island. Rep. Tokuda will cover what's going on in Congress and policies affecting Hawaiʻi, and answer questions and concerns from community members. Her staff will also be on site to offer assistance with federal issues.
Representative Jill Tokuda will announce her statewide Farm Bill Listening Session tour to hear from farmers, agriculture producers, nutrition advocates, and workers on what they’re hoping to see from the 2023 Farm Bill. Members of the agriculture community are encouraged to participate in the Listening Session and the general public is invited to Tokuda’s town halls.
This event is part of her annual statewide series with additional town halls in Molokaʻi and Lanaʻi. Representative Tokuda will discuss federal policies, address concerns regarding the Trump administration, and answer questions from the community.
Assessments
Tokuda promised to continue direct community engagement, and the evidence shows repeated same-term in-person engagement through statewide town halls, Farm Bill listening sessions, and community Q&A events in 2023, 2025, and 2026. Because this is an ongoing activity promise rather than a discrete policy outcome, documented continuation of these direct constituent events is sufficient for delivery in her federal House term.
The promise was broad and rhetoric-oriented: to continue engaging directly with communities. The evidence shows repeated same-term direct engagement through statewide listening sessions and town halls in 2023, 2025, and 2026, including events where Tokuda answered community questions and gathered input from specific stakeholder groups. Because the promised action was ongoing engagement rather than a discrete policy outcome, this record is sufficient to count as delivered.
