Public state: pending As of 2026-09-23 · verified · . Original AI recommendation (not independently established): unresolved. same_term A for effort

The verified commitment is forward-looking as of September 21, 2026: Diaz-Balart said he looked forward to nominating candidates. Verified evidence shows he hosted a 2026 Service Academy Day and that his office runs an annual nomination process, but it does not verify that the promised 2026 nominations were actually made. The 2025 appointments evidence reflects a prior completed cycle and cannot prove fulfillment of this later promise. With no documented deadline expired as of September 23, 2026, the outcome remains unresolved, though there is attributable effort.
