I am determined to use every lever at Democrats' disposal to stand up to Donald Trump.
Use every available lever to oppose Donald Trump’s actions and resist efforts that expand Elon Musk’s access to sensitive data.

Evidence
Since President Donald Trump's second inauguration, I have been working hard to oppose his dangerous actions. From cosponsoring legislation to limit Elon Musk's access to sensitive data to speaking out on the House floor, I am determined to use every lever at Democrats' disposal to stand up to Donald Trump.
Today, Chicago Congressman Mike Quigley (IL-05) introduced an amendment to the FY26 Homeland Security Appropriations bill that would cut funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), unless major changes are made to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) conduct.
Version 1 | Quigley (IL), Horsford (NV), Johnson (TX), Fletcher (TX) | Democrat | Repeals 8 USC 1357(a)(2), requires utilization of body cameras for ICE and CBP agents, restricts use of facial coverings during immigration enforcement operations, restricts the use of chemical agents during enforcement operations, and restricts enforcement operations in or near sensitive locations. | Submitted
Because of that, I'm officially calling for the Cabinet to remove him from office under the 25th Amendment. If they can't, Congress must return from recess today and begin impeachment proceedings.
Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) released the following statement after voting no on the Trump-Republican Big Ugly Bill:
Donald Trump’s pardoning of these traitors sends a clear message that violent assault on our democracy is not just tolerated but rewarded.
Assessments
Quigley took multiple same-term actions consistent with the promise, including cosponsoring legislation to limit Elon Musk's access to sensitive data, speaking on the House floor, calling for Trump's removal or impeachment, voting against Trump-backed legislation, condemning Trump actions, and submitting an appropriations amendment to constrain DHS enforcement conduct. However, the evidence mainly demonstrates active opposition and legislative attempts, not that he successfully used every available lever or achieved the promised resistance outcome in full. The formally submitted amendment was not shown as adopted, so the record supports substantial effort but only partial fulfillment.
