The homepage listed a May 20, 2026 news item saying Mrvan announced the House Appropriations Committee had included his law enforcement Community Project Funding requests for Indiana’s First Congressional District in the FY2027 CJS appropriations measure.

Assessments
Mrvan made a broad federal-office promise to bring investments back to Northwest Indiana, and the record shows substantial same-term delivery rather than only attempts. Evidence includes his campaign claim of more than $100 million in federal Community Project Funding awards for Northwest Indiana, a DOT grant of $18.3 million for a CITGO East Chicago project, and additional federally backed regional investment activity. Some newer FY2026 and FY2027 items were only House-approved or committee-approved and therefore support effort/partial progress, but the already awarded funding is enough to treat the core promise as fulfilled in the same term.
The promise was broad but outcome-focused: to bring back investments that grow the Northwest Indiana economy. The evidence shows multiple concrete federal investments during the relevant term, including the campaign's cited $100M+ in Community Project Funding, an $18.3M DOT grant for CITGO in East Chicago, and additional regional infrastructure and industrial investments. Because the promised outcome was not a single definitive policy endpoint but continued delivery of economic investment, the documented funding is sufficient to rate the promise delivered in the same term.
