Assessments
Carson made concrete legislative attempts during the same term by introducing H.R.653, the Transition-to-Success Mentoring Act, and H.R.654, the Students Helping Young Students Act of 2023, both aimed at expanding mentorship or afterschool support. However, the evidence shows both bills were only introduced and referred to committee, with no indication they passed, became law, or produced increased program access or funding. Because the promised outcome was not delivered despite serious legislative effort, the correct outcome is never with an effort badge.
