April supports codifying Roe into law
Codify Roe v. Wade into law.
Occurrences
April will vote to codify Roe v. Wade
for my 4 daughters and yours, regain the right to choose
Evidence
April supports codifying Roe into law, and on day one, will co-sponsor the Women’s Health Protection Act, which will protect and re-establish abortion rights.
Bills and resolutions cosponsored: abortion ... limit restrictions on provision of abortion services to protect women’s right to determine whether to continue or end pregnancy and protect health providers ability to provide reproductive services (see H.R. 12).
To protect a person's ability to determine whether to continue or end a pregnancy, and to protect a health care provider's ability to provide abortion services. Introduced in the House of Representatives on June 24, 2025.
Assessments
The promise was to codify Roe v. Wade into law. April McClain Delaney did make a relevant legislative effort by co-sponsoring H.R. 12, the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2025, during her House term. However, the bill was introduced and not enacted as of April 28, 2026, so the promised legal codification has not been delivered. Because there was a serious legislative attempt but the promised outcome failed, the correct outcome is never with an effort badge.
