Assessments
The promise was broad: to continue supporting Michigan farmers and growers. The evidence shows repeated, concrete actions consistent with that commitment, including sponsoring tree-assistance legislation in 2023 and 2026, leading a large congressional letter seeking an H-2A wage freeze to reduce farm labor costs, and publicly supporting USDA specialty crop grants for Michigan. Because the promised outcome was continued support rather than enactment of a specific bill or policy, these actions are sufficient to treat the promise as delivered.
