Assessments
Bonamici made a serious legislative attempt by sponsoring the Build Housing with Care Act, which would establish a grant program for co-locating affordable housing and child care providers. However, the evidence shows the bill was only introduced and referred to committees, with no indication that the funding program was enacted or implemented. Because the promised outcome was creation of funding, introduction of authorizing legislation alone does not deliver it.
