Evidence
Under the "Working Families" section, the campaign site says: "In Congress, we can count on her to continue to stand up for women and their families, and fight for: Increasing the federal minimum wage to $15/hour and eliminating the tipped minimum wage."
The press release says the Raise the Wage Act of 2025 would "gradually raise the minimum wage to $17 by 2030" and "guarantee tipped workers are paid at least the full federal minimum wage by phasing out the subminimum wage for tipped workers," and lists Val T. Hoyle (OR-04) among the original House co-sponsors.
The Department of Labor states that the federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour and that employers may pay tipped employees a cash wage of no less than $2.13 per hour under federal law.
Assessments
The promised federal outcome has not been enacted: the federal minimum wage remains $7.25 and the federal tipped cash wage remains $2.13, so neither a $15 minimum wage nor elimination of the tipped minimum wage has been delivered. Hoyle did materially advance the issue by serving as an original House co-sponsor of the Raise the Wage Act of 2025, which would phase out the tipped subminimum wage and raise the federal wage floor beyond the promised $15 level, but that legislative effort has not become law. Because this is a serious legislative attempt without delivery, the outcome is never with an effort badge.
