In Washington, I’ll fight to secure the border by finishing President Trump’s wall, increasing funding and resources for Border Patrol officers, and deploying military personnel when necessary. Then prosecute, to the fullest extent of the law, criminals and cartels wreaking havoc on our country.
Fight to secure the border by finishing President Trump’s wall, increasing funding and resources for Border Patrol, deploying military personnel when necessary, and prosecuting criminals and cartels.
Occurrences
I am running for Congress to put America First, close the border, stop inflation, defend our Second Amendment, and protect girls’ sports. In Congress, I will help President Trump crush the cartels and finish the wall, even if I have to take my trucks to the border and pour the concrete myself.
In Congress, I will always stand up in support of law enforcement in the 2nd District, starting with securing the southern border and putting an end to the human, drug, and labor trafficking that is currently running rampant due to Biden’s failed policies.
Evidence
“In Washington, I’ll fight to secure the border by finishing President Trump’s wall, increasing funding and resources for Border Patrol officers, and deploying military personnel when necessary. Then prosecute, to the fullest extent of the law, criminals and cartels wreaking havoc on our country.”
The House introduction of the Fight Fentanyl Act would ensure local, state, and federal law enforcement officials have the tools and equipment needed to get fentanyl and illicit substances off the streets, and would direct the U.S. Attorney General to assign assistant U.S. attorneys to help prosecute organizations and individuals trafficking fentanyl.
Taylor’s H.R. 1958 passed the House 231-186 and would make illegal aliens who defraud the United States government or steal taxpayer benefits deportable and ineligible to re-enter the U.S.
The official roll call lists Representative Taylor (Ohio) voting Yea on passage of the Laken Riley Act.
Assessments
Taylor has taken same-term actions aligned with parts of the promise, including voting for immigration-enforcement legislation, passing a House bill on deportability for fraud by undocumented immigrants, and introducing a fentanyl-trafficking prosecution/resources bill. However, the full promised outcome was broader: finishing Trump’s border wall, increasing Border Patrol funding/resources, deploying military personnel when necessary, and prosecuting criminals and cartels. The evidence shows legislative effort and partial enforcement/prosecution alignment, but not fulfillment of the complete border-security package or final enactment/implementation of all components.
