The IRS says the Premium Tax Credit helps lower Marketplace premiums and that, for tax years 2021 through 2025, Congress temporarily eliminated the rule barring credits when household income exceeds 400 percent of the federal poverty line; for current eligibility, the 100-to-400 percent income limit is back in place.
