Build the wall on the southern border and keep illegal immigrants out of Tennessee and the United States.
Occurrences
The security of America’s southern border can be improved by increasing the number of border enforcement agents, completing and enhancing the current fence and implementing the use of new technology.
Evidence
"Chuck strongly opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants, and he believes immigration reform begins with building the wall on our southern border. He's visited the border, where he met with Border Patrol Officers and saw first hand the challenges they face. This only increased his resolve to build the wall. He’ll continue to work to keep illegal immigrants out of Tennessee and out of this country."
The bill text states: "To immediately resume construction of the border wall system along the international border between the United States and Mexico..." and the bill history lists Mr. Fleischmann as one of the cosponsors.
CBP says: "Currently, CBP has approximately 100 miles of new border barrier in various stages of construction and planning, funded with appropriations from prior years."
Assessments
The promised outcome was broad and concrete: build the southern border wall and keep illegal immigrants out of Tennessee and the United States. The evidence shows continued wall construction and planning as of August 2025, meaning the wall had not been fully built and the promised exclusionary outcome had not been achieved. Fleischmann did make a serious legislative effort by cosponsoring the 2025 Finish the Wall Act to resume construction, so the effort badge applies, but an attempt without delivery remains a failed outcome under the rubric.
