I’m running to make home ownership and entrepreneurship, pillars of the American Dream, an obtainable reality for all Americans once more.
Make home ownership and entrepreneurship attainable for all Americans.

Evidence
Our Campaign's Top Issues includes separate sections for “Housing & Home Ownership” and “Supporting Entrepreneurship & Small Businesses.” The housing section says owning a home is “a cornerstone of the American Dream” and a key to building wealth across generations. The entrepreneurship section says small businesses create more than half of new jobs in America and are the backbone of the economy.
Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett introduced the Rural Housing Voucher Enhancement Act, saying it would make improvements to the rural housing voucher program, bolster outreach to participating landlords, and make affordable housing more accessible for rural residents, especially seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Congress.gov lists Jasmine Crockett as sponsor, shows the bill was introduced on 02/20/2024, and gives the latest action as referral to the House Committee on Financial Services. The tracker status is Introduced.
Rep. Crockett and Rep. Zach Nunn introduced the Next Generation of Farmers Act to cut through USDA red tape and give new farmers a fair shot at land ownership. The release says federal rules had required three years of farm management experience before direct farm ownership loans.
The press release states that Rep. Crockett, alongside Rep. Maxine Dexter, introduced H.R. 4843, the CLEAR ID Act.
Assessments
Crockett made legislative efforts related to the promise, including housing-access legislation and a bipartisan bill addressing land ownership for new farmers. However, the cited measures were narrow in scope, did not broadly make home ownership and entrepreneurship attainable for all Americans, and the housing bill remained only introduced/referred to committee rather than enacted. This supports serious effort but not delivery of the promised outcome.
