Nancy Mace fights to protect women’s sports, spaces, and achievements.
Protect women’s sports, spaces, and achievements.
Occurrences
Evidence
Congresswoman Nancy Mace introduced the Protecting Girls’ Sports for Military Kids Act to stop biological men from taking opportunities from female athletes in women’s sports. The release says the bill makes DoDEA girls’ sports exclusive to biologically female students.
Mace re-introduced the Protecting Women’s Private Spaces Act and the Stop the Invasion of Women’s Spaces Act, described as barring biological men from women’s restrooms, locker rooms, changing rooms, shelters, and prisons in federally funded or federal facilities.
The enrolled NDAA includes a section prohibiting males from participating in athletic programs or activities at the military service academies that are designated for women or girls, while protecting female roster spots, scholarships, admissions, and other benefits.
Assessments
The promise was broad, covering women’s sports, spaces, and achievements. Evidence shows a narrower enacted measure in the FY2026 NDAA protecting women’s athletic programs at military service academies, plus Mace introduced related bills for DoD school sports and women’s private spaces. Because only a limited sports-related portion became law and the broader spaces/achievements promise was not fully delivered, the best outcome is partial.
