I will fund and support our law enforcement, military and Veterans, not defund the police.
I will fund and support law enforcement, the military, and veterans.
Occurrences
I will always support them. Keeping our community safe needs to be a top priority of any level of government, but today we see rising crime, increased drug overdoses, and homelessness. We need to fully fund our police and implement the right policies to support our law enforcement men and women. I look forward to representing our district in Congress and will prioritize public safety.
Evidence
Congress.gov shows Rep. Juan Ciscomani introduced H.R. 35 on January 3, 2025. The bill creates federal criminal offenses for fleeing law enforcement officers along the border, and Congress.gov lists the subject area as crime and law enforcement. The bill passed the House on February 13, 2025.
Ciscomani's office said he voted to pass H.R. 6938 on January 8, 2026, and that the package included $4.2 million for Tucson Police Vehicles. The bill is the Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment Appropriations Act, 2026, and Congress.gov later shows it became law.
Congress.gov lists H.R. 3579 as introduced by Rep. Juan Ciscomani on May 23, 2025. The bill modifies the VA's Veteran Readiness and Employment program, and Congress.gov shows it passed the House before being received in the Senate.
Ciscomani's office said the House passed two bipartisan bills led by him to strengthen support and expand resources for veterans, including H.R. 3579 and H.R. 3951. The release says the bills were meant to improve oversight, reduce delays, and expand access to benefits for veterans.
Ciscomani's office said the FY2026 National Defense Authorization Act passed the House and 'strengthens our military.' The release quotes Ciscomani saying Congress has a duty to ensure the military has the resources, capabilities, and support needed, and says the bill includes a 3.8% pay raise for servicemembers and other military-related provisions.
Assessments
Ciscomani won the 2022 federal House race and, while serving in Congress after that campaign, took concrete actions matching the broad promise to fund and support law enforcement, the military, and veterans. The record includes voting for an enacted FY2026 appropriations package with law-enforcement funding, backing defense authorization legislation with military pay and readiness provisions, and introducing or advancing multiple veterans-support bills through the House. Because these actions occurred in a later congressional term after the 2022 campaign but while he remained the officeholder, they count as later_term delivery rather than mere effort.
