Evidence
This week, President Trump signed Congressman Dan Meuser’s (PA-09) legislation, H.R. 2066, the Investing in All of America Act, into law. The bill is described as increasing funding from the SBIC program and fueling small business growth.
Meuser said the House passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, describing it as legislation that streamlines housing production and affordability by cutting unnecessary bureaucratic red tape, increasing local flexibility, and improving affordability. The bill passed the House by a vote of 396-13, and Meuser spoke in support on the House floor on May 19.
Meuser supported the Main Street Capital Access Act, saying it would restore fair access to banking, strengthen community lenders, and expand capital for Main Street. The release frames it as a pro-Main Street, pro-small bank, pro-community reform package that puts local growth back at the center of the financial system.
Meuser introduced the Most Favored Patient Act, described as legislation to lower prescription drug costs and save billions of dollars for patients and taxpayers.
Assessments
The promise is broad and advocacy-based: to advocate for fiscal responsibility and legislative initiatives that create sustainable growth and economic opportunity. The strongest evidence shows Meuser’s own bill, H.R. 2066, was signed into law in May 2026 and was framed as increasing SBIC funding and fueling small business growth, which directly fits the growth and opportunity portion of the promise. Additional same-term evidence shows continued support and introduction of other pro-growth and cost-lowering measures. Because this is not a narrowly measurable promise and at least one of his legislative initiatives was enacted during his service, the promise is best judged as delivered rather than merely partial, even though the evidence is stronger on growth initiatives than on fiscal responsibility specifically.
