GovInfo's Congressional Record Index page for Jasmine Crockett, published September 5, 2026, lists H.R. 7977 among congressional bills associated with Crockett in the 119th Congress, 2nd Session. H.R. 7977 is the Energy Bills Relief Act; GovInfo's bill record says it was introduced March 18, 2026 and its table of contents includes 'Subtitle A--Restoring Tax Credits for Low-Cost, Clean Energy' and 'Sec. 101. Repealing H.R. 1 rollbacks of low-cost, clean energy tax credits.'

The IRS page currently states that the New Clean Vehicle Credit, Previously-Owned Clean Vehicle Credit, and Qualified Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit are not available for vehicles acquired after Sept. 30, 2025. It also says the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Tax Credit may be available only for qualified refueling or recharging property placed in service before July 1, 2026.
Assessments
The promised reinstatement has not occurred: federal clean vehicle credits remain unavailable for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025, and the alternative fuel refueling property credit ended for property placed in service after June 30, 2026. Crockett is linked to H.R. 7977, which would restore clean-energy tax credits, but that bill was only introduced/referred and has not become law. That supports serious legislative effort during her current House term, not delivery.
