As a member of the House Committee on Agriculture, I have been focused on delivering an updated Farm Bill that works for both Ohio’s agriculture industry and consumers. Additionally, I am working to peel back burdensome regulations and taxes that hamper our agriculture industry and family farms, expand market access for Ohio’s agricultural products, and defend America’s food security from foreign adversaries and bad-faith actors.
SEC. 303. Negotiations to defend the use of common names. The Secretary shall coordinate efforts with the United States Trade Representative to secure the right of United States agricultural producers, processors, and exporters to use common names for agricultural commodities or food products in foreign markets... SEC. 3311. Agricultural Trade Enforcement Task Force. The Task Force shall identify trade barriers to United States agricultural exports... develop and implement a strategy for enforcing violations of trade agreements... and report quarterly to Congress on progress toward resolving cases or filing disputes.
