I’m grateful to have worked alongside local partners to secure these funds, and I won’t let up until the check clears.
Continue pressing FEMA and the administration until the Aberdeen-Hoquiam Flood Protection Project funding is released.

Evidence
The office says the Chehalis Basin Strategy is still being developed for release in 2026 and that it is still funding and implementing basin projects.
The project schedule lists future anticipated actions, including final environmental impact statements and an OCB vote on a flood-risk reduction alternative.
Ecology describes the Chehalis Basin Strategy as a set of near- and long-term actions aimed at reducing flood damage and restoring habitat, with implementation work ongoing since 2014.
Assessments
Available official project and state sources still describe the relevant Chehalis Basin/Aberdeen-Hoquiam flood-protection work as ongoing, with strategy decisions and environmental review steps still pending into 2025-2026. That is not evidence that the specific funding Randall said she would keep pressing FEMA and the administration to release has actually been released. Because Randall is still in federal office and the outcome could still occur, this fits unresolved rather than never.
