I am committed to building on the last bipartisan infrastructure law by creating good-paying transportation jobs, growing the economy and safely transporting people and goods across the country by road and rail.
Continue building on the bipartisan infrastructure law by investing in transportation projects that create good-paying transportation jobs and move people and goods safely across the country by road and rail.

Evidence
The official news index for the lookback window lists June 9-July 1 releases, but none show a new road, rail, BIL, or surface transportation investment delivered after June 7, 2026.
The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee approved H.R. 8870, a bipartisan five-year surface transportation bill investing in roads, bridges, transit, rail, and safety programs. The release quotes Ranking Member Larsen saying the bill builds on the prior infrastructure law and would create good-paying jobs.
Larsen's office said the BUILD America 250 Act passed committee 62-2 and would provide $580 billion over five years, including Washington priorities for ferries, transit, buses, culverts, bridges, highways, multimodal funding, and rail improvements.
Larsen announced DOT released $17.5 million for Skagit Transit's Burlington facility and listed nine Washington grants totaling over $183 million, including rail corridor reliability, Puget Sound rail improvements, rural rail rehabilitation, a bridge project, safe streets, and bus charging infrastructure.
Larsen said FY2026 spending bills he supported passed the House 341-88 and were signed into law, including requested funding for Community Transit electric buses, the Port of Edmonds seawall, the Port of Everett terminal, and Snohomish County's Intermodal Yard rail capacity project.
Assessments
Same-term evidence shows actual transportation investments were delivered, not only proposed: 2026 DOT grants funded transit, rail, bridge, street-safety, and bus infrastructure in Washington, and FY2026 appropriations signed into law included Larsen-supported/requested funds for electric buses, port infrastructure, and rail-yard capacity. The pending BUILD America 250 Act supports additional effort but is not needed for full delivery because concrete road, rail, transit, and safety investments matching the promise were already enacted or released during Larsen's current federal term.
