My bill, the Save America with Real ID Act, is really intended to be a companion to the SAVE America Act. It will provide grants to states to help them pay for real IDs for American citizens who don’t have them, so that they too can have the proper identification to vote in federal elections once we pass the SAVE America Act.

Congress.gov’s CRS summary says the bill requires documentary proof of U.S. citizenship and photo identification to vote in federal elections, and the overview shows the bill was only introduced and referred to House Administration on 2026-01-30.
The bill text includes REAL ID-compliant citizenship documents and photo-ID rules for federal voting, but a search of the text shows no grant or funding language.
On April 10, 2025, the House passed H.R.22, the SAVE Act, 220-208; the roll-call page lists Julie Fedorchak as voting Yea.
Congress.gov’s actions page shows H.R.22 was received in the Senate on 2025-04-10 and its status remains Passed House.

The promise has two parts: impose a federal voter photo-ID requirement and provide grants so eligible citizens can obtain REAL IDs. As of June 19, 2026, the closest federal efforts only partially track that agenda. Julie Fedorchak voted for the House-passed SAVE Act, which shows meaningful same-term effort on the voter-ID/citizenship side, but that bill has not become law. The cited later House bill text also does not include the promised grant funding component. Because no enacted federal outcome has delivered either the full package or even the core requirement, but there has been real in-term legislative movement and the term is still ongoing, the best judgment is unresolved rather than delivered or full failure.
