As of June 22, 2026, there is no clear evidence that the promised SCHEDULES Act outcome was enacted or fully delivered. A June 10, 2026 House Veterans’ Affairs Committee release said H.R. 740, the Veterans’ ACCESS Act, was only being included in a proposed package and still needed to pass and be signed into law. The package text contains related provisions on specialty-care appointment scheduling and an online self-service scheduling module, which shows the issue was being advanced in Congress, but not completed.
