Evidence
Senator Reverend Warnock has long fought to protect the voting rights of Georgians, including introducing legislation to restore critical safeguards of the original Voting Rights Act and to ban gerrymandering. He said, “We’re going to show up not just in November, but in the months leading to November.”
Warnock said he was “using every tool available” to sound the alarm about the SAVE America Act, including the airwaves, Senate floor, social media, and direct outreach, and stated, “I will be right here fighting for your voice.”
Assessments
The promise was framed as working to pass the Freedom to Vote Act, not guaranteeing enactment. Warnock materially acted on that commitment during his Senate term by introducing/cosponsoring the Freedom to Vote Act, speaking on the Senate floor for it, urging colleagues to support it, and continuing voting-rights advocacy. The Act itself has not become law, so this would not count as delivery of an enactment promise, but it does satisfy the narrower promise to work to pass it.
